R. Paul Farrell, Jr.died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Ellis Health Center.

Born to R. Paul Farrell, Sr. and Nellie (Thomasson) Farrell on June 15, 1927 in High Point, NC

Paul received his electrical engineering degree from Virginia Tech in 1949 where he served as Captain of the ROTC Cadet Corps

He was a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the states of Kentucky, New York,Ohio and Pennsylvania and held a dozen U.S. patents. He transferred with General Electric from Louisville, KY to the Research and Development Center in Schenectady in 1967.Retired from Environment/One Corporation in 1997.
His Professional associations include life member of WEF, New York Water Environment Association.
Lifelong interests in sailing, aviation, amateur radio, Scouting, shooting sports, small game hunting, fishing and gardening.

Paul was an Active member of St. George's Masonic Lodge #6, Eastern Parkway United Methodist Church, Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House, Amateur Radio Relay League, National Rifle Association and he was an Eagle Scout.

Survived by his wife Jane Brooks Farrell; his sister Sylvia (Farrell) Alderson of Westminster, MD; his daughter Evelyn (Farrell) DeCota and her husband, Herb of Deerfield, NH; his son Robert Thomas Farrell and his wife, Susan (Williman) Farrell of Danville, VA; his grandson Kenneth William Cronyn IV and his wife Madonna of Valdosta, GA; his granddaughter Sarah Kathleen (Cronyn) Miller and her husband Lucasof Worcester, MA; two great-grandchildren Kaleb and Kylie Cronyn.Also nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Susan Pascoe Farrell in 1996.

Memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.

A memorial Service will be on Friday, January 18 at 11 AM at Eastern Parkway UMC, Schenectady.
