James A. Pallotolo, Sr., 86, passed away on January 25, 2013.

James was born on February 8, 1926, a son of the late Carmen and Angelina Riggero Pallotolo.
Following High School graduation, James entered into the Army and valiantly served his country during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a master mason and worked for the City of Schenectady where he retired as a mechanic.

He was the most gentle, kind and giving man and he will be remembered for his infectious smile.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Stella (Szuty) of 63 years; loving children, James Jr. (Kathy), Diane (Louis) Lezzi, Angela (Terry) Miller, Cathy Pallotolo, Vera (George) Salamone and Joanne (Michael) Zuglan; 8 grandchildren, Dana Hotaling, Lindy Brickner, Shaun Miller, Heather Flynn, Sarah Miller, Nicole Pallotolo, Alicia Power, Melissa Salamone; 5 great-grandchildren, Lucca Bella Hotaling, Giana Hotaling, Louis Brickner, Olivia Brickner, Sophia Flynn; also surviving are his last two brothers Carmine (Marianne) and Anthony (Olga). He was predeceased by his son Michael; brother in-law, Stanley and Raymond.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9 AM at St. Luke's Church, 1241 State Street. Interment to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jones Funeral Home, Monday evening from 5 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Schenectady City Mission, PO BOX 760, Schenectady 12301 or to the Eric Verteramo Memorial Scholarship, care of Schenectady High School, 1445 The Plaza, Schenectady 12308
