Dr. Aziz Nabi, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 56 years Anne-Marie, his daughter Veronique Cordier and son in law Kleber Tiban of Scotch Plains, NJ; grand-daughters Alia Berry of Newark NJ and Briana Berry of Brooklyn, NY as well as many nephews and nieces.

Dr. Nabi was born February 21, 1931 in Baghdad, Iraq, one of 8 children. He received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Oregon University and his medical degree from the University of Brussels in Belgium. Dr. Nabi immigrated to the United States in 1962 with his wife and daughter, settling in Schenectady, where he resided for over 50 years, having launched a successful Internal Medicine practice specializing in Cardiology.

He was a fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as the American Board of Cardiology and a member of the Schenectady County and New York State Medical Societies, the American College of Physicians, The American and New York State societies of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He was a faculty member at Albany Medical College, an attending physician at Ellis and St. Clare's Hospitals and a consultant at Sunnyview and Bellevue Hospitals. He retired from practice in 1996. He was well known for his professional demeanor, caring spirit, dedication and contagious smile.

Dr. Nabi enjoyed traveling, videography, music and spending leisure time with his family.

Friends and colleagues are invited to call on Saturday, from 1-3 pm at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St, Schenectady.
