Anthony J. Wilson 81, of Niskayuna passed away Friday March 15, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Poultney, Vermont, he was the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Corcoran Wilson and brother of the late Mary W. Kelly. Anthony is survived by his beloved brother Mike (Donna) Wilson of Schenectady.

Anthony's early education was in Poultney Vermont school system until moving to Schenectady as a young boy. Anthony graduated from St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph's Academy in 1948 and Siena College with a degree in Business, class of 1952. Following graduation Anthony worked at ALCO prior to being drafted into the Army where he served two years ( 1953-1955 ) stationed at Fort McClellan, Aniston, Alabama. Upon an honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to ALCO till 1959. Later Anthony was employed by the Cluett Peabody Co. in Troy, NY as an industrial engineer for 30 years till retiring in 1989. After retirement Anthony worked for New York State as an efficiency consultant till 1994.

Survived by Anthony's beloved wife of 58 years Elizabeth A. McCauley Wilson. His beloved children Judy (Sam) Payne of Ballston Spa, Lisa A. Wilson R.N. of Glenville and Joseph (Cathy) Wilson of Guilderland. Beloved Grandpa to Torre R. and Morgan E. Wilson of Guilderland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anthony was a member of St. Helen's (St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish) since 1959. He enjoyed being a lector, usher and counter. Dad also enjoyed his monthly collection and delivery of food to SICM. Dad was a hard worker and loved his family and tried to do the best by us.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 9 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Union St., with Rev. George Brucker and Rev. Robert Longobucco officiating. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Entombment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tony's name to either Hospice of Albany County or Mayo Clinic Alzheimers Research Department of Development, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905-9817.

We would like to thank the entire staff at Westmere Home for Adults for their excellent care, compassion and love that was given to Tony and our family.
